Elder Cornwell's First MTC Letter

Dear Family,

Oi, tudo bem? That is like a fraction of the Portuguese I learned today. This place is so awesome! I'm already loving the language and I'm getting super excited about the Lord's work!

So, my first email will be on Tuesday, around 3:45 - 4:45, just a head's up.

Anyhow, I have TWO companions! I am super blessed to have them! We are all like the same person, it's great! Companhiero um is Elder Swinney from Fresno, CA. Companhiero dois is Elder HEATH!!! The guy from Kennewick on my flight! He is also super awesome and we are all going to Fortaleza, and we all are waiting for our visas to be finished.

Basically today was super hectic, but really fun. We started out getting supplies and going to our classroom, where I met my teacher who promptly said, "Elder Cornwell? Hmmm..." Turns out he was a companion of Zac's in Portugal, though his name escapes me at the moment. Then we did some language study, which was way awesome and a lot easier than I thought to pick up.

After that, we had some teaching experience and I had so much inspiration concerning the work, that was so obvious to me today, but had never come to me before. It's incredible the blessings that being a missionary brings. After that, we met the ZL's and then went back to our room to unpack. Now I am super tired and just ready to pass out.

In short, this place is awesome, I love Portuguese, I love this work and I know that it is true. I love you all so much! Ei sei Jesus Cristo vive.

Love,
Elder Cornwell
